- Sexual Dysfunctions - Tadalafil
What is Tadalafil?
Tadalafil is in a class of medications known as PDE-5 inhibitors,
which are used to treat cases of male impotence.
Tadalafil is a fairly new impotence drug and has only just
come onto the market. The UK is the first country in the world
to be able to offer Tadalafil to its residents.
How does Tadalafil
Tadalafil acts in the same way as Viagra, by blocking an enzyme
called phosphodiesterase-5, or PDE-5. This helps the smooth
muscles in the penis relax and widen, which allows for more
blood to enter. As a result, you gain erections faster and
easier with it.
In clinical testing most men were administered one 10 or 20 mg tablets per day.
Tadalafil Side Effects:
The most common side effects reported in the study were headache, myalgia (muscle pain), dyspepsia (upset stomach following meals) and back pain. The severities of these side effects were minimized with lower doses.
Tadalafil Drug Interactions:
Consult your doctor about all nonprescription and prescription medication you may use, especially any nitrate medications (e.g., nitroglycerin, isosorbide dinitrate), nitroprusside (any "nitric oxide donor" medicines), cimetidine, erythromycin, azole antifungals (e.g., itraconazole, ketoconazole), mibefradil, rifamycins (e.g., rifampin) or high blood pressure medicines.
Is Tadalafil Better than other ED treating
Tadalafil comes in smaller doses and produces fewer side effects.
It also works much faster than other available drugs. In clinical
trials, the majority of men who took the drug were able to
engage in sexual intercourse within 30 minutes or less. The
studies also indicated that Tadalafil stays in the system
for up to 24 hours. That's 20 hours difference than the traditional
Tadalafil and cardiovascular side effects:
The early tests seem to indicate that Tadalafil doesn't affect blood pressure as much as other ED drugs. The clinical trials showed that statistically there was no significant difference in cardiovascular side effects from the placebo.
Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15-30
degrees C) away from light and moisture. Keep it out of the
reach of children.
